HELLO ERRYBODY!
October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, and I've recently been...subjected to the grim realities of the disease. A family member of mine finally (and we hope, ultimately) won the battle against her breast cancer, and my best friend's mother has finished two intensive rounds of chemotherapy and is finally in remission.
It's a cause that hits too close to home. I cannot do much about it except pray for those who are affected and urge everybody to exercise due caution in taking care of their bodies and getting routinely checked out.
This month, I will be posting a lot of PINK manicures to symbolically lend my hope to a greater cause. I'll also break up the manicures with little its of news and insight into how other bloggers and nail polish brands are contributing and donating in whatever way they can, big or small, to promoting breast cancer awareness :)
Polish for a cause. It's something I can really respect and stand by, as you all know by my purchase of Dani-Mite (There are still 6 bottles of it left!)
Below images are from the Essie website :)

Essie is sponsoring (Or maybe just repromoting, I'm trying to get the details on that) a 31 Days of Pink nail challenge, where you post a manicure or nail art each and every day. That nail art (You guessed it) has to be pink, but I don' think it's necessary to use all Essie polishes. BeautyBlitz is probably doing that because Essie must have sponsored her a set of all of their pink polishes to pick and choose from?
Well I've got some pinks, and I've got a desire to actually start and finish a challenge for once, so let's see how this goes!
Hi! Great site! I'm trying to find an email address to contact you on to ask if you would please consider adding a link to my website. I'd really appreciate if you could email me back.
ReplyDeleteThanks and have a great day!
Thanks Ann :) My e-mail address is blishful@gmail.com - please get in touch with me! I don't actually have a blogroll on this site yet but I do need to customize the design so perhaps you'll persuade me into doing some much needed interface updating!!
DeleteI love when they come out with nail polish for a cause. It's nice to know we can all help out in some way.. I have already bought my OPI collection but I have not seen this one yet so I will definitely be on the look out for it. Thanks for the info:)
ReplyDeleteYayy good for you Sam <3 I want the OPI duo but I haven't found it in any of the stores near me yet. If you aren't able to buy the Essies by the way, I have a Walgreens near me that has them out already so I can pick them up for you!
DeleteThank you I will let you know if I find them. Let me know the same about the OPI.
DeleteFound the OPI duo for $6 each at the beauty supply store by my bus stop! Any luck with the Essie polishes darlingg?
DeleteOh ok cool. Yeah I found them thank you again! You got a good deal on the OPI.
DeleteYayyy :) They're sort of pretty and I'm not even into pink lol
DeleteI am so inspired about October! I hope cancer alternative treatment centers in the whole world makes every month a certain cancer awareness month so everyone will be more aware. Thanks for sharing!
